Meet the Animals - Cats

Big Sky Ranch Animal Sanctuary is currently the home to several cats and kittens who are available for adoption to the right home.

If you have lost your dog or cat Big Sky Ranch recommends you call your local animal shelter. In North Grenville the number is 613-258-7612, ext. 119.

Please drop by during visiting hours to find the right cat for your home.

Below are photos of some of our cats and kittens:

	Gonzie: neutered male, domestic grey tabby,16 years of age. He is very friendly after he gets to know you. He is an indoor/outdoor cat.
	Ma Petite: spayed female, grey tabby, 12 years of age. Ma Petite is in good heath in spite of the fact that she has no teeth. They were sugically removed by a vet in October 2009. She tends to a bit timid around stangers.
	Miao: neutered male, dark charcoal tabby, 5 years of age and in good health. Miao tolerates other cats well.
	Clair de Lune: neutered male, domestic medium hair, buff and white, 8 years of age, medium size. He is very timid initially and requires a little time to adjust. Once he's comfortable around you, he's a big love-bug and soaks up all the affection and attention you give him. He loves a good game of tag, particularly with his brother Kurt. He generally adjusts to everyone, human, feline and canine, given a little time and patience (he's just a little shy, you see...). The more secure he feels in his environment, the more outgoing and affectionate he becomes.
	Opie: spayed female, domestic shorthair, buff color, 6 years of age, medium size. Opie is a playful, goofy, big kid with a great sense of humour! She's very friendly and vocal; she loves attention and affection and won't pass up an opportunity to play with you. She likes other cat buddies and is generally O.K. with dogs, with “proper introductions”.
	Peach: spayed female, domestic shorthair, buff color, 9 years young, medium size. Peach is a combination of friendly and reserved: in other words, this dignified lady loves attention and affection but likes to have a say as to when and how much. She does have a very playful side to her and become quite silly at times, with the right toy. She is undemanding and unassuming, and she enjoys chatting you up every once in a while. She is generally O.K. with other cats, and dogs, with “proper introductions”.
	Freddy: neutered male, domestic shorthair, steel gray, 8 years young, medium size. Freddy is intially quite timid but once familiar with you will keep you constant company. He loves watching whatever you are doing and will come up and ask for your attention. He loves affection and returns it readily. He's the adventurous and curious type of kitty, not so much a couch potato although he does enjoy his snoozes. He does have a little difficulty adjusting to other pets, particularly other cats; dogs are less threatening to his position of “Head Feline of the Household” so a home without other cats is preferable for everyone's peace of mind.
	Kurt: neutered male, domestic medium hair, buff, 8 years of age, medium size. He is quite outgoing and thinks nothing of marching right up to you and demanding you pick him up for a big cuddle session! He's very affectionate and loves any and all the attention you can lavish on him. He loves to tear around in a fast game of tag with his brother Clair de Lune, and generally adjusts pretty well to other feline and canine companions, given the proper setting and time.
	Bruce: neutered male, domestic long hair, brown tabby, 8 years young, medium size. Bruce is a regal yet unassuming companion “par exellence”. He is quiet but very affectionate and wants nothing more than to be cuddled and cajoled. He's the perfect companion for someone who prefers a distinguished and calm disposition. However, he doesn't care much for sharing your affection and attention with other cats but he is tolerant of dogs, with “proper introductions”.
	Hi Everyone. My name is Tigger. I am a neutered male with all my shots. I love to play and am very laid back. I am 5 years old.
	Radar: neutered male, domestic shorthair, buff, 7 years of age, large size. Radar got his name from his somewhat skewed earset which makes him most endearing! He's quiet and friendly, a perfect couch potato who occasionally indulges in silly games and antics, just like a kitten. He's a most affectionate and unassuming lad who would be perfectly content following you around the house or warming your lap! He will adjust to most other companions given time and “room” to settle in.
	This is Kc. S he is a short hair 5yr old spayed female, very laid back and is very loving. She also has all her shots.
	This is TimBit. She has been dewormed and will be getting her first set of shots shortly. She is a little doll who would like nothing more than to have a family of her own to cuddle. TimBit is approx 8 weeks old.
	This is Dinky - he is approx 12 weeks old and was brought to the Ranch a few weeks ago. Dinky is looking for a home to call his own. He has been de-wormed and given his first set of shots.
	Cheddar is a 2 yr old loving cat that thinks he’s a bird. He has all his shots and is neutered and is very loving. Please come out to the ranch and meet him.
	This is Tom. He is 3 yrs old and loves people; he likes watching you as you go about the house. Tom has all his shots and is neutered.
	Hi Everyone. My name is Sassy. I am a 2 yr old spayed long hair cat that has all her shots. I am very loving but need time to adjust, so please be patient. I can't wait to find my special home.
	Holly is a short hair spayed cat that will be 2 yrs old in late fall. She is a little timid at first but once she knows and trusts you she is very loyal and loving. Holly would love to meet you.
	This little girl is Sky. Her and Snuggles were found wandering in the middle of a side road and picked up by the O.P.P. and brought to the ranch. She is about 6 weeks old & has had her first shots. For a little girl she has a "big sky" name. She has had a rough start so is now looking for her forever home.

	Hi Everyone. My name is Rudy .. I am a 3 year old male, neutered with all of my shots. I just love everyone and even like other cats. I am litter trained and looking forward to finding my forever home.
	This handsome boy is Simon. He is approximately 1 year old and a very friendly cat. He loves to hang out with you and is very affectionate. He is also litter trained and would love to find a new home.
	This is colourful Ginger and she is about 2 years old. She is an extrodinary orange tabby girl who gets along well with everyone. Please come to the ranch and meet her.
	Hi .. I am Tommy and I am long and lean and quite handsome. I am about 2 1/2 years old, I love people other cats and even dogs. I have been neutered and would love to meet you.
	Hi everyone ... I am Tika .. I am 5 months old with all my shots I am very playful as well as very loving. I am good with other cats and even though I am only 5 months old I already know my name .. Tika!!
	This beauty is Julia; she is 1yr old and is spayed with all her shots. Julia is very loving, but must be top cat in her new home, so please, no other cats.
	Hi ... my name is Sugar and I am an 8 week old female who is cute as a button. I have my first set of shots so far. Please come meet me.
	Hi Everyone .. I am little Sally and I am 10 weeks old. I am a beautiful and loving little girl who would really love to find a loving home.
	Hi Everyone .. my name is Freddie. I am a very friendly and loving 12 month old boy who is looking forward to finding a good home. Please come and meet me.
	This is Simone. She is a spayed young female who is full of personality and love. She gets along well with all humans and animals.
	This is Mingpul .. he is a 1 year old Simese mix male who has all of his shots and is fixed.
	Hi, my name is Sofi. I am a spayed female, domestic shorthair, brown/grey tabby, 5 years old, small size. Sofi is a friendly, quiet, and unassuming kitty who will chat you up when she craves attention and a good tummy-rub (her favourite thing!!). She’s somewhat of a loner but does get along well with most other cats and dogs.
	This is Bronwen: spayed female, domestic shorthair, buff color, 7 years old, medium size. VERY friendly! Bronwen is curious, outgoing, wants to be involved, will ask for your attention and affection. She is quite vocal, loves to chat with you, likes other cat buddies and is generally O.K. with dogs if you give her a chance to get to know them. She has tons of personality to keep you happily entertained!
	There are presently 2 beautiful orange cats at Big Sky Ranch. Both are females - one is a year old and the other a year and a half. Both of these beauties are sweet wonderful cats and can't wait to meet their new families.
	Hi everyone .. my name is Oreo and I am an 8 month old male. As you can see I love sitting in the warm summer sun. I have been fixed and have all my shots. I would love to meet you.
	Hi ... my name is Sammy and I am 1 1/2 years old and blind in one eye .. but this doesn't inhibit me at all. I am a very loving guy who is anxious to find a loving home. I am not sure why, but I think I like women more than men and I am ok with other cats and dogs. Oh, and I've been neutered as well.
	This is Cisco, a beautiful Siamese with 7 toes!! He is neutured, about 1 1/2 years old and the most loveable and laid back guy. He enjoys the company of all the other animals and loves kids as well. Cisco would make a wonderful family pet.
	I am Daisy girl and I am between 1 1/2 to 2 years old and I am very beautiful! I am a very loving girl and I even like other animals. Maybe you would like to take me home. I have also been spayed.
	This is Lulu .. she is a calico cat as you can see and very cuddly. She is 9 months old and loves people and other cats but she is not so sure about dogs. She has been spayed and is ready to make herself a part of a good family.
	Shadow is approximately 1 year old and a very handsome boy with big paws. He loves the company of people and other animals and he has been neutered.
	Sassy girl is what they call me and I love people and kids and I think dogs are pretty cool, but I am not a fan of other cats, so I should be the only feline in your life. I am only 1 year old and I have been spayed. I would love to find a nice family to live with.
	This is Digger. He is a male 2 year old was left at the ranch when his family moved to the UK. Although they loved him dearly they knew it would be too difficult to put him through the quaranteen required for pets when moving overseas. He is very affectionate but does not like other cats. A home where he is the only animal would be best.
	These 2 grey tabby kittens were left in a cardboard box at the end of our laneway here at Big Sky. If you are ready for a new kitten then come out and meet these wonderful sweeties.
	This cat is approximately 1 year old, male, soft grey, and found his own way to Big Sky Ranch. It sometimes seems the animals know this is a safe haven for them. He has no teeth and so we have been feeding him wet food only. He has a very loving personality, likes to be held and is in need of some real good lovin'.
