	Bear is an extremely intelligent, well trained, dominant, male German Shepherd, who is now a permanent resident at Big Sky Ranch due to his behavioural tendencies, influenced by past circumstances. However Bear has grown very close to some volunteers and has proven that with constant interaction and socialization he can be a special part of our family here If you would like to sponsor Bear his monthly expenses average $30.00.
	Max is a 7 year old Sheppard/Collie mix; Max is very loyal and is just one big bundle of love, but he takes seizures without warning and at anytime. He has found his way into our hearts and our daily life with all the volunteers and visitors. Max has also found a job he is very good at, which is to make sure any child that is not smiling when they come to visit, has a smile on their face when they leave. Max also likes to go to seniors homes for a visit and thinks they are the greatest. If you would like to sponsor Max his monthly expenses average $30.00.
	This is Red, an 8 year old Sheppard / Golden Lab. This poor guy was left on the side of the road to fend for himself, why we will never know. Red has a big heart and is the first to great you when you come for a visit. He will spend the rest of his life here as we feel he has so much to give and is worth a lot more than a thing you can leave on the side of the road. 	Herbert is a neutered Angora goat who partners with Elsie for our community events. He is a new addition to the Sanctuary and will be part of the educational work done at Big Sky. 	This is Punkin who is a gelded Shetland Pony. Punkin gives rides to children with special needs as well as other kids who may be meeting a horse for the first time. 	Snow is an older domestic neutered sheep. He is a real character who loves treats. As you can see he has a "little" overbite so takes his time eating. 	This little one is Sandy, yes after Sandy Sharky of BOB_FM. Sandy is a white pot-belly pig who can squeal with the best of them. She hates getting a bath but loves digging in the dirt. 	This pretty girl is Princess. She is an older Arabian mare with some health issues. Princess requires medication during hot, humid weather. She had an eye removed due to infection but you would never know it. Princess can run with the best of them. 	Lulu is a domestic pig approx 5 years old. Lulu came from a hobby farm and will only be adopted to someone who has a warm place for her to spend winters and a large enough enclosure for her to stretch her legs in the summer. Lulu is a born rooter who needs a suitable environment. If anyone is interested in sponsoring Lulu her monthly costs to the sanctuary are $60 per month. 	Simone is a female, albino rabbit that is approx 3 years old. She doesn't mind being held, but most of all she loves to Spend time in one of the horse stalls and run around.  She is very fond of carrots and apples but can't get enough Timothy hay.  Simone is is part of our educational community outreach program. 	Dakota is a permanent resident of Big Sky Ranch, he is 6 years old.  He arrived here as a babe and has grown and grown since.  He is most happy playing with Poppy or running around his field. Dakota is an animal you would normally find at a Sanctuary, having him here allows the public to see him up close.  It was not that long ago that buffalo were only found in the wild but they have adjusted well to being domesticated.  Dakota was rescued by a group of animal lovers and brought to the Sanctuary.
